I began my musical journey at an early age while growing up in Lima, Peru. I like to think that my musical personality has always been very broad. Even though I'm considered primarily as an improviser, I do appreciate and have a great fascination for architectural music (songs or compositions with a set structure). While living in Dublin, I was recording and performing a lot with many extraordinary musicians, as well as composing and teaching too. In May 2018 I moved to the beautiful city of Granada, were I have been very lucky to be welcomed and quickly integrated into the Spanish music scene.
In my musical career so far, I have had the amazing fortune to play with musicians like with Kurt Rosenwinkel, Jorge Glem, Cory Wong, Edmar Castañeda, Sidiki Dembele, Ralph Rolle (CHIC), Paddy Maloney (The Chieftains), Curti Fowlkes (Louis Bellson) to name a few.
I have also been very lucky to share the stage with Mark Guiliana, FORQ, Roy Ayers, Lee Fields, Cory Henry, Tom Rainey, y Christian Scott amongst other.
After years of studying music, I currently hold:
Diploma in music Souza Lima & Berklee (Sao Paulo, Brasil).
Bachelor of Arts in Jazz Performance from Newpark Music Centre (Dublin, Ireland).
Máster in Music Performance from DIT (Dublin, Ireland).
